Ronald McDonald House

August 2013

The guild just completed a couple of projects for the Ronald McDonald House.Marsha Smith, the director of operations had requested 11 corner tables to match the headboards and side tables that we had built for them several months ago. Bill Bagwell, Bill Brett, Vince DeCarlo, Vince LeDonne, Butch Scott and Robert Stevenson went to work on them and quickly had them installed in the rooms. They look great, match nicely and the ladies at Ronald McDonald were thrilled with them.

Marsha had also asked if we would be able to strip and refinish their 4 dining room tables. Ed Jacobsen (the cranky yankee) answered the call. Hu Lacquement help Ed with the pick-up, and Ed took them back to his shop and did a beautiful job refinishing them. Marsha gave him a check to help with material cost and Ed graciously donated this to the guild.

We want to thank everyone that helped out on this. Next time you get a chance to volunteer for a charitable project just remember that it is the best way to meet other members and that no matter what your skill level is you will almost always learn something new.
