On Tuesday, May 2, Tom McLaughlin, of Epic Woodworking, will present a variety of intermediate and advanced techniques related to building a Contemporary Bowfront Sofa End Table. If you've yet to experience Tom's teaching style, you're in for a treat as he clearly delivers concepts for those at various levels of expertise to understand, with professional skill and a disarming humor. Be sure to attend the monthly meeting on Monday evening May 1st for more of Tom's presentation.
The day's topics will cover the overall design considerations for the table, the joinery processes, shaping and veneering the sides, methods for making a Bowfront drawer, as well as veneering, edge-banding and inlay approaches for making the top, as time allows. Tom will also address options for finishing, followed by a time for Q & A at the end.
Attendees will be provided a box lunch.
