Sanding Machine Certification Class The Guild has a number of sanding machines on the floor and behind a curtain that helps contain saw dust. The machines include: · Horizontal Edge Sander · Disk Sander · Two Spindle Sanders · Powermatic Drum Sander · Laguna Drum Sander · Vertical Belt Sander 37" Wide Belt Sander 52" Wide Belt Sander · A Variety of Hand Sanders The purpose of this class is to certify Guild members in the use of each of these sanding devices, including the down draft table and general dust management, so they can be used safely and effectively. The class will also cover use and purchase of sand paper that is available at the Guild. While there are no prerequisite certifications required to take this class, each participant must review the Powermatic Training video that is on the computer in the library prior to the class. There are no videos for the other machines. Mentors will be Bob Armbruster / John Arnold You must bring your own safety glasses and hearing protection to each class.
