Jim Kilton
A donated log provided the raw material for the 6-1/2-in.-dia.
by 3-in.-tall spalted-maple bowl (top). The shouldered vessel
(middle), made from Norfolk Island pine, has a diameter of 7 in.
and measures 7 in. tall. After turning the 9-in.-dia. by
2-in.-tall flower vessel from maple (bottom), Kilton painted the
outside surface to look like marble. All the bowls were finished
with lacquer and then waxed.
