Auction
March 2009

The Guild is auctioning some items from the shop of Jay Jackson. Jay was a long- time member of the Guild, and died about four years ago. His wife, Mrs. Joyce Jackson, wanted to get his tools into the hands of woodworkers who can make good use of them, so we are conducting a sealed-bid auction for her. Only Guild members are permitted to bid on these items, and only one bid per item, per member, will be accepted. If more than one bid is received from a member for a specific item, only the first bid will be honored.

Bids are currently being accepted, and will be accepted until midnight March 22, 2009.

All bids must be emailed to gwgwebmgr@greenvillewoodworkers.com. If a member does not have e-mail, an email can be sent from the Shop computer (with the Supervisor's help).

Bid emails must state your name, street address, phone number, item you are bidding on, and the amount of your bid.

Some items will have a minimum starting bid. A bid can be less than the minimum bid. However, the Guild has the right to refuse any bid less than the minimum, and may offer the item outside the Guild membership. This would be in effect if no one meets the minimum bid. Bids on items with no minimum bid specified can be rejected by the Guild.

Items must be picked up no later than Monday, March 30, 2009.

All items can be seen at the Shop. They are located outside the Jim Kilton Lathe Room. All powered tools have been plugged in and run, but you may verify this if you wish. Some are in the original boxes/cases, so we ask that you return them to the box/case and to the same location on the shelf.
